Passkeys for Target Apps — Enrollment & Support Guide

Why use it?
Faster, safer sign-ins to 100s of Target apps (Workday, Target Pay & Benefits, Greenfield, and more) with just a touch or glance.
Prerequisite
You already use Face ID or fingerprint to unlock your device.

Enroll (One-Time Setup)
  1. Go to the login page of a supported Target application.
  2. Sign in with your LAN ID and password.
  3. Click “Create passkey” (or accept the prompt after login).
  4. Follow your device/browser’s biometric prompt to complete enrollment.
Manage Your Enrollment
Re-enroll: Required if you:
  • Upgrade your OS
  • Reset laptop with recovery key
  • Repair FileVault/Keychain
To re-enroll:
  • Go to the login screen.
  • You'll see a hyperlink “Click here” below the passkey icon.
  • Follow the prompts to complete re-enrollment.
Unregister/Delete Enrollment:
  • On Target network: Login to MyLogin, click Manage on the passkey card, choose the passkey to delete, and click Delete.
  • Off Target network: Call Client Support Center (CSC): 612-304-HELP (4-4357) and raise an incident.
Troubleshooting Checklist
  • Confirm Face ID/Touch ID/fingerprint is enabled to unlock your device.
  • Make sure your browser is up to date.
  • If you recently upgraded OS, reset laptop, or repaired FileVault/Keychain → re-enroll by clicking “Click here” on the login screen.
FAQ
Do you store my biometric data?
No. Your biometric data never leaves your device. Passkeys use secure cryptographic keys, either device-bound (stored only on that device) or synced (via services like iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager). Target cannot read, store, or share your biometrics.
Do I need to re-register after changing my LAN ID password?
No. Enrollment is one-time and not affected by password changes.
What happens if I unregister?
We simply delink your registration from Target servers. To remove biometrics, delete them in your device settings.

  • Urgent/Lost device: Call Client Support Center (CSC): 612-304-HELP (4-4357) and raise an incident.
  • Tip: If your passkey stops working, look for the “Click here” link on the login screen to re-enroll. This is the fastest way to restore access.
